Two Highlands vignerons have literally walked a mile in the shoes
of those who most influence their business.
And they travelled halfway around the world to do it.
Chris Harvey and Sally Beresford, of Mount Ashby Vineyard in Moss Vale
have built their business around creating wines and furnishing with a
French influence, while the menu at their cellar door draws on the tastes
of both France and Northern Spain.
The couple has made frequent short trips to France to hone their
appreciation of the flavours and culture.
However, they took the interests of the country a step further recently
when they traded lives with someone who lived in the South of France.
"Our computer manager in Sydney has a mother who lives in France
and she wanted to come to Australia for a few months - we decided it
was a great opportunity to swap lifestyles," Chris said.
"We swapped homes and cars for three months and truly got the
chance to experience how the other lived."
The couple made themselves at home in the Cote de Rhone region
