"There are so many blogs around. Some
are about thoughts, art or design.
"I decided I wanted my blog to be
something very visual and focused on what I
loved about the Southern Highlands using
what I love doing, styling and photography."
The site was far from an instant success.
Coty said her blog failed to attract any
followers in its early days and she struggled
to devise a way to secure an audience.
"No-one came for months. In fact I think
the first couple of visitors to my site came
there by mistake," she said.
"The thing with any website is that the
more visitors your site receives, the higher
profile it secures on Google search.
"I decided to introduce myself and leave a
comment on a US blog stating that I loved
their blog and inviting them to visit my site.
"Within about a week some well-known
bloggers in Sweden and the US had visited
my site and made a recommendation on their
sites for others to do the same.
"The Swedish blogger posted on her site a
message instructing her readers to go
immediately to my site.
"From that point my blog was inundated
