The name Burradoo comes from the Aboriginal phrase many
brigalow trees. (ref: "Burradoo". Geographical Names Board of
New South Wales) Bowral was known as Burradoo until being
officially named in 1867.
Burradoo can best be described as an elegant pocket of the
Southern Highlands with a mix of magnificent old and new
homes, tree-lined streets and cold climate garden estates.
Spread over an area of approximately 12.2 sq km, 661m above
Burradoo has approximately 717 dwellings, with the majority of
these (97%) being houses; 62.6% of properties in the area are
fully owned and the population of Burradoo is approximately
1,944 people. (ref: The Australian Bureau of Statistics 2006)
In the last 12 months there has been a total of 42 sales in
Burradoo ranging from $385,000 to $2,850,000 - with an
average price of $1,068,047. In that period there have been only
18 sales over $1 million. (ref: the Real Estate Agents
Cooperative Ltd). Sales by members of our team contributed to
that over $1 million result.
A very tough market has called for fine-tuned, creative
sales and marketing campaigns and sheer perseverance.
That's what the team at Raine & Horne Bowral is all about.
